Our services
Diamond Core Drilling
Clean, accurate holes and openings through concrete, brick and block, for contractors, trades, homeowners and commercial buildings across Essex & London. Diamond core drilling is all we do.

What it is
What is diamond core drilling?
Diamond core drilling uses a hollow, diamond-tipped bit to cut a round hole through hard material. The bit grinds a thin ring through the wall or slab, and the solid cylinder inside it, called the core, comes out in one piece or a few pieces. You’re left with a clean hole with smooth sides, without hammering or the damage that comes with it.
The drill motor is mounted on a rig: a stand held against the wall or floor that keeps the bit steady, straight and in the right place. Rigs can be set to drill vertically through floors, horizontally through walls, or at an angle where a pipe needs a fall.
The process is usually wet. Water cools the diamonds and carries the cut material away as slurry, which keeps dust down. That water has to be collected as the work goes, and in our photos you’ll see it handled with collectors and wet vacs.
Bigger than one core, or square? Openings are formed by stitch drilling: a line of overlapping cores around the outline, so the middle can be taken out.
What we drill
Core drilling services
Four ways we put holes and openings where you need them.

Wall core drilling
Holes through brick, block and concrete walls, including angled cores.

Floor & slab core drilling
Vertical cores through floors and slabs for pipes, risers and services.

Openings by stitch drilling
Square and rectangular openings formed from a line of overlapping cores.

Vacuum-base drilling
Rigs held down by suction, so there are no fixings into finished floors.
