One less thing to chase

On a live programme, the drilling has to happen when the follow-on trades need it, in the place the drawing says, and without leaving a mess for someone else to clear. That’s the job.

Send us the drawing or a marked-up photo with sizes and positions, and we’ll price from that. We agree a date that works for your programme.

Water and slurry are controlled as we drill. Our photos show collectors, wet vacs and cores going into buckets, not across your floor.

M&E & trades

Holes for services, done once

Plumbers, electricians, HVAC and gas engineers need holes in the right place and the right size, so the pipe, duct or flue goes straight in. Tell us what’s going through and we’ll drill to suit.

Got a run of penetrations at low level? One of our jobs shows a row of evenly spaced cores through a concrete wall, the rig re-set for each one.

Typical work

Penetrations and openings

  • Ventilation & extractor fans
  • Boiler flues
  • Soil & waste pipes
  • Drainage
  • M&E service penetrations
  • HVAC & condensate
  • Sprinkler & fire services
  • Cable routes
  • Risers & hatches

Openings in slabs and walls

Risers, hatches and duct openings are formed by stitch drilling: a line of overlapping cores around the outline, so the section can be taken out. Our roof-slab photos show rectangular openings formed this way through reinforced concrete. See our stitch drilling work.

Finished floors and fit-outs

Late in a job, when floors are already laid, a vacuum-base rig is held down by suction, so there are no fixing holes to make good in the finished floor.
