Cookies notice
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Cookies are small files that a website can store on your device. Similar technologies include local storage and tracking pixels. This notice explains why our public website doesn’t need a cookie banner.
Our public website uses no non-essential cookies
We don’t use any non-essential cookies or similar technologies on the public website. In particular:
- Analytics are cookieless. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page visits and measure loading speed. They don’t set cookies or store any identifier on your device, and we only see aggregated figures.
- Fonts are self-hosted. Our fonts are served from our own website, not loaded from Google or any other font service.
- No third-party embeds. There are no embedded maps, videos, social media widgets, chat widgets or advertising trackers. Links to other services, such as WhatsApp, are plain links. Nothing from those services loads until you choose to follow the link.
Because of this, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, don’t require us to ask for your consent, so we don’t show a cookie banner.
The content editing area (/studio)
Our website has a content editing area at /studio. Only our own staff use it, to add project photos and update content. When someone logs in there, it sets a cookie and/or stores a token in the browser’s local storage to keep them logged in securely. This is strictly necessary for the login to work, so consent isn’t required. Visitors to the public website never receive it.
Cookies and similar technologies we use
| Name / purpose | Where | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| None | Public website (every page except /studio) | No cookies or similar technologies are set | Not applicable |
| Sanity authentication token, used to keep an editor logged in | /studio only (used by our staff, not by visitors) | Strictly necessary (cookie and/or browser local storage) | Session, or as set by Sanity |
If this changes
If we ever add a tool that uses non-essential cookies or similar technologies, such as an embedded map or video, we will first add a proper consent mechanism. It will let you choose whether to accept those cookies before any are set, and you will be able to change your mind at any time. We will also update this notice.
Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies and stored site data in their settings. Blocking all cookies won’t affect the public website, because it doesn’t rely on them.
